Meet the teachers!
Linda Matsumoto has been teaching since... She is now the director of the program and brings years of parent education to the community.
Chris has been with the program since 1999. Chris works with all of the child age groups here at BPEC. Infant I, II, III and Multi-Age. Chris is one of the head teachers as well as works as the GED Coordinator for the Burbank Unified School District. She has a BS in Education, along with multiple subject credentials.
Chris' philosophy on child development, child-rearing and parent education is to trust your heart and respect your child and you will be ok.
On Chris' free time she enjoys geneology, reading, gardening, Volkswalks (www.ava.org), travelling America, camping, relaxing on the beach, writing and spending time with her five grandchildren. Chris has also shown and trained Landseer Newfoundland dogs for 20 years and enjoys Scottish Country Dancing.
Chris loves it when a baby sits in rug time and begins to move his or her fingers to make a songs' hand motion. It amazes her every time!
