The Burbank Parent Education Council (BPEC) is made up of dedicated adults enrolled in
Burbank Parent Ed, working together to enhance and support the program.
Led by an Executive Board, BPEC serves as a vital link
between parents, teachers, administrators and the wider community.
Through their efforts, BPEC strengthens the Parent Ed program and helps create
a positive, supportive environment for all involved.
What does the Council do?
- Sets up monthly fundraisers to raise funds that directly benefit the program.
- Provides scholarships and loans to qualifying families that may need assistance to enroll in the program.
- Publishes the Preschool Press newsletter, maintains the website and posts to social media.
- Purchases toys and equipment as needed.
- Participates in community projects such as holiday food and gift baskets for those in need.
- Sponsors events throughout the year such as Boo Bash, playdates and holiday parties with the aim to bring all the families together.
- Provides leadership opportunities for its members.
The council meets monthly with in person and virtual options.
Free food and childcare are provided.
All are encouraged to attend!
