Gala
The Annual Spring Gala is our biggest fundraising event, but it's also a chance to celebrate, reunite, and have some much needed fun! Along with a luncheon and entertainment, the Gala features over 100 "opportunity drawing" baskets and silent auction items. The event is one of our few adults only celebrations, but friends, family, significant others, and acquaintances are welcome to attend! We are back into planning mode and our Gala will return Spring 2024!
Boo Bash
The Boo Bash is our annual Fall festival and a family friendly event open to children and their families. Past events have featured a costume parade, costume contest, bake sale, cake decorating contest, cake walk, magic show, scary story time, crafts, and small child friendly carnival activities and games.
Thank you to everyone who came to play, our volunteers, bake sale donors, and vendors who made to the Burbank Parent Education Council's 2022 Boo Bash a great success! We raised over $2,500 to benefit our amazing school and community.
A special thank you to Handy Market, Trader Joes, and Moby's Coffee & Tea Co. for donations and to MyGYM for a great gym play area and puppet show!
Family Portrait Fundraiser
For the first time in 2019, Michaelyn Straub Photography hosted a family portrait fundraiser for the Burbank Parent Education Council. Michaelyn donated all sitting fees to BPEC as well as gifting one 8x10 printed photo copy to families who participated in the fundraiser. Thank you to Michaelyn for creating this fundraiser and raising $500 for BPEC!
Why Do We Have Fundraisers?
While tuition and lab fees go directly to the Burbank Adult School and to pay for the school facilities and staff, the donations help us buy everything else our program needs to be a thriving, engaging, clean, and safe environment. Funds raised help us cover the operating costs for things like the Preschool Press, entertainment and food for free school events, coffee in the classrooms, kid snacks for school days, emergency supplies, and a myriad of little things that complete our educational puzzle.
