About Us

Burbank Parent Education Program

Located in Burbank, CA, the Parent Education Program is Burbank’s hidden gem. We are a school full of resources for parents and their children to gain knowledge in parenting, and child rearing skills. You will make life-long friends and find yourself to be a part of a very special community. Classes are available every day of the week for parents and their infant to school age children.

In class children play, sing songs, experience painting and other crafts, and interact with other children. Parents have discussions about child development and all kinds of parenting issues. All parenting styles are honored. Our philosophy is that children learn through play and adults learn the tools for raising self-reliant, responsible, and kind children.

Burbank Parent Education Council

The Burbank Parent Education Council is made up of parent volunteers who  support the educational programs of the school and serve as a valuable channel of communication between class members, teachers, administrators, and the community.  Although every student enrolled in the program is a member of the council and may attend meetings, two representatives are chosen from each class. Council representatives attend meetings, support council projects, and report information back to their classes. Meetings are held once a month in the afternoon (with food provided for adults) from September to May at the Burbank Adult School and free childcare is provided with RSVP. To become a council member, please contact burbankparented@gmail.com.

Burbank Parent Education Council Executive Board and Chairs

An executive board and chair positions, made up of parent class members, are elected annually in May and serve for the following school year.
